History

Verallia is the glass packaging brand of Saint-Gobain, created for the glass bottles and jars market. Our brand reflects our values and our unique, winning combination of strength and proximity: the strength of our manufacturing expertise, design capabilities and sales network, and the proximity that we cultivate every day with our customers and business partners.

Although Verallia is a relatively new brand in the glass packaging industry, the russian plants have more than 100 years of glassmaking. Now factories are modern production facilities with equipment from leading engineering companies, that deliver their products both domestically and abroad. Both plants have been repeatedly awarded.

1898

Created the glass bottles producer "Mineralovodsky Stekolny Zavod".

1939

Kamyshinsky glass plant produced its first production.

1992  

Shares issue for employees. Joint Stock Enterprise "Kavminsteklo" created.

1996

Re-naming to Closed Joint Stock Company "Kavminsteklo".

2001

At Kamyshinsky glass plant was commissioned an automatic line by "Rainer Naroska" for producing metal lids "twist-off."

2006

Saint-Gobain became the main shareholder of the plant & the Company was renamed to Closed Joint Stock Company "Saint-Gobain Kavminsteklo".

2008

In 2008 JSC Kamyshinskoy glass plant became part of an international corporation Saint-Gobain.

2010

Verallia brand created for Saint-Gobain Packaging Sector.
